First and foremost I am an Engineer!  A builder,  a creative mind who likes to design and build objects of interest.

I received my Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at San Diego in August of 2008.

I currently work as an Applications Engineer at Hawk Ridge Systems providing SolidWorks CAD consulting and expertise to our clients.

My Certifications include:

Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP)

Certified SolidWorks Support Technician (CSWST)

Certified Simulation Professional Support Technician (CSPST)

Certified Simulation Advanced Professional Support Technician (CSAST)

The last two I am especially proud of, as I have been consulting for Simulation FEA analysis and am currently working to achieve the CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) certification for SolidWorks Flow Simulation.  Currently I am certified in Static, Thermal, Linear Dynamic, Buckling, Drop Test, Fatigue, and Non-Linear Finite element analysis methods.

I have over 4000 hours of SolidWorks and Simulation expertise under my belt and and am eligible to take the Certified SolidWorks Expert (CSWE) examination, however I have not yet had time to actually take the test as the CFD Flow Simulation program takes priority in my free time.

My hobbies include building computers, computer video games, cars, robots, electronics, camping, backpacking, hiking, biking, and reading about cool stuff.

Btw, incase you’re wondering, that header is a snippet of a rendering of the Mandelbrot set, link here:
